EW Elohims Agenda 10 11 18
The full council of God will come when pride and religion are destroyed.
The proclamation came after the 2 dreams. The dreams were essentially the same dream with distinct individual characteristics. In each dream there were two soldiers, both dressed in uniforms that came from the era between our American Revolution and the Civil War.* In the first dream, the two soldiers were facing each other across a stream with woods in the background. The two soldiers engaged each other in a short, violent moment, and the soldier on the right cut off the head of the soldier on the left: the dream ended. The second dream began with the same two (types or) soldiers. This time one soldier stood up on a high bank, looking down on the second soldier, who opposed from the opposite side of the same stream. Again the soldiers engaged, and in a brutal short meeting, the one cut off the head of the other: the dream ended. In the flux of time and space after the second dream, the Voice came –
The full council of God will come when pride and religion are destroyed.
I was now wide awake.
These dreams occurred in a very specific time of my life, and I can target the year and month; I am still looking for any specific notes I may have made at the time or in the time following: I did share the dream within a week with a man in my circle at that time. Several details of the dreams are consistently clear, and I will list them below for clarity. At the same time, there are details that I cannot clearly recall, though I strongly desire to, and to place details influenced by passage of time and present circumstances does not serve the Lord or anyone else. I will state that in this general time frame I received a “word” from the pulpit in general assembly but received and understood by me, that “the difference between the major and minor prophets is attention to detail.” In the context of these dreams specifically, this statement weighs upon me as a fact to be acknowledged, and my short-coming.
The clear details
Two dreams / two soldiers / the type of their uniforms, Andrew Jackson era; which I researched afterwards, as this detail stuck with me as a clear distinction between the post and previous eras of the American revolution and Civil War. Also, the stream in each dream, the level crossing of engagement in the first one, the high bank on the right in the second one and the stream in the middle with left bank, and the soldiers positioned on each side, one on the high bank and the other on the left side of the stream. In both cases, (as I recall) the conflict took place in the stream itself. In both cases, the conflict was swift and brutal, with the decapitation of one of the soldiers the end result. Both dreams were absolutely clear and vivid at the time, and if I had documented them I would be relaying those details now.
Details I cannot recall with certainty:
I believe that both soldiers had the same era uniforms and they were the same color, though I cannot state this with absolute certainty; I am not sure if I had taken notes at that time that I would have made that distinction. I cannot now say that the same soldier, the one on the left or right of the stream dismembered which in the two conflicts, or if it alternated each time, all details which cause me to wonder as I survey our present landscape.
Back to certainty: the message was certain –
The full council of God will come when pride and religion are destroyed.
The two dreams were the “same” dream, the same statement applied to both; the dreams represented two distinct actions addressing pride and religion respectively. In scripture, as compared with Joseph’s interpretation of Pharaoh’s dreams, the significance of the two being the same represents the certainty of them coming to pass, it has been determined.
My understanding:
We are concerned with being right or wrong: God is concerned with ultimate reality and the nature of our nature. Circumstances present themselves to us and we like with certainty to know where we stand, and that we are right. God is concerned with our relationship to Him, to Them, and to each other, and that at any given moment we will be seeking to do what is right and best for both that moment and the future outcome; we cannot often see either or both of these things clearly. God knows this about us and works in sovereignty to address our limitations, and by present moments, whether it is by circumstances or dreams or whatever, sets in motion future outcomes of actions and understanding, and enables us to know if we choose to respond.
Let me give an example:
In the Book of Joshua there is a rare interaction of a Face-to face meeting; here is how it is recorded – Joshua 5:13-15
When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the LORD. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?” And the commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.
I will be brief: it is a clear tenant of Hebrew faith that you do not worship men or angels; this was clearly not either or the record would be discounted as non-credible at the least and blasphemous at the most. In human practice, it is a clear tenant of common sense that you try not to disparage your own cause, and hence your own history; if the intent of the author was to promote the case and cause and actions and outcomes of the future events, you would not present “the commander of the army of the LORD” as being neither friend or foe in that circumstance. I of course cannot be certain but I believe that Joshua’s frame of mind and reference as represented by his question and his past history was irrevocably changed by this interaction, and that that moment and those to come would be affected by this exchange. He would see his Lord, his people, and the people he would come to battle in a different light: “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” And he said, “No; but I am … .
We see the battle, we see the adversary … “but” the Lord sees our hearts, and His purpose to shape us into His Image, the image we are all stamped with from the beginning. Pride and religion: pride kills us and religion killed Him – but only for a moment, and He had to die to free us from both: it is apparent that the work is still going on.
If you accept that we are in apocalyptic times, and from the news there is no reason not to, then there are many things that come along with these times; read Matthew 24 – things stated as facts, warnings given, and encouragements and promises offered. As unclear as I may be about some details of these dreams, please let me be clear about this – we do not want to be on the wrong side of the stream of pride and religion, and we may be certain that we know what they define and mean, but the Lord sees our hearts and the ultimate outcome of all our lives, individually and as a whole.
WH : the dreams occurred on one night in 2009 within the months of February and March. The research on the *uniform era occurred approximately a year later and can be duplicated today on-line. I continue to look for my notes if there are any: the message continues to resonate in me as from the beginning, but I believe that now is the time for it to be shared. Shalom.
